Bio:

An associate professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics at URV since 2003. PhD in Telematics Engineering from UPC in 2004. Postgraduate specialist in the European Higher Education Area (Fundació URV, 2006). Member of IEEE. Senior researcher in the Smart Technologies research group (formerly Smart Health, URV) since 2014. Researcher in the Crises group (Security and Privacy, 2001 to 2017). Visiting professor at Shanghai Maritime University (China, September 2018) and LAAS-CNRS (Toulouse, France, summer 2004). His research interests are the application of information and communication technologies to health services and the improvement of quality of life, from technological aspects (Internet of Things, informatics, information security) to ethical and privacy aspects of individuals and society.
