Bio:

Juan Alberto Rodriguez-Velazquez, who earned his Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 1997, has held the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics (DEIM) at Rovira i Virgili University (URV) since 2010. In 2021 he received the Full Professor Accreditation, in the field of science, from ANECA, the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation. Previously, he was a lecturer at the following universities: Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), National Distance Education University (UNED), Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M). His main research focuses on graph theory. In particular, his activity includes topics like metric graph theory, chemical graph theory, spectral graph theory, domination in graphs and composite graphs. In addition, his research activity also focuses on other research areas like, geometry and topology. He has co-authored over 130 journal articles and has supervised 7 Ph.D. According to a study led by researchers from Stanford University (DOI: 10.17632/btchxktzyw.2), since 2020 he appears in the list of the 2% most influential researchers in the world.
