================ radalib in Linux ================ ------------------------------------ How to install the GNAT Ada compiler ------------------------------------ 1) Download GNAT Ada GPL 2015, or newer, from https://www.adacore.com/download Choose at least the following component: GNAT Ada GPL : Ada compiler and IDE If you plan to use Eclipse GNATbench GPL: Ada Development Plug-In for Eclipse 2) You may need "root" permissions to install GNAT (depending on the installation directory) 3) Expand and install the GNAT Ada GPL 2015 (64 bits), or newer: $ tar xvfz gnat-gpl-2015-x86_64-linux-bin.tar.gz $ cd gnat-gpl-2015-x86_64-linux-bin $ sudo ./doinstall We will assume that GNAT has been installed in the directory /usr/local/gnat/ ----------------------------------------- How to install radalib for the first time ----------------------------------------- 0) Pre-requisites: GNAT GPL Edition 2015, or newer 1) Select a folder for the installation, e.g. /home/myusername/ada 2) Add the following lines to your /home/myusername/.bashrc or /home/myusername/.bash_profile, using the previously chosen values of the GNAT and radalib installation directories: export PATH=/usr/local/gnat/bin:$PATH export RADALIB_ROOT=/home/myusername/ada/radalib export ADA_INCLUDE_PATH=$RADALIB_ROOT/source export ADA_OBJECTS_PATH=$RADALIB_ROOT/compiled 3) Execute these exports, e.g. by re-running .bashrc: $ . /home/myusername/.bashrc 4) Go to the installation folder: $ cd /home/myusername/ada 5) Download latest radalib to the installation folder (with wget or a browser): $ wget https://webs-deim.urv.cat/~sergio.gomez/radalib/radalib.zip 6) Download installation script to the installation folder (with wget or a browser): $ wget https://webs-deim.urv.cat/~sergio.gomez/radalib/radalib-install-linux.sh 7) Run the installation script: $ chmod 755 radalib-install-linux.sh $ ./radalib-install-linux.sh 8) Check if some tests work, e.g.: $ cd radalib/test $ ./graphs_test.sh $ ./graphs_properties_test.sh $ ./eps_plots_test.sh 9) Do not use the radalib directory for other purposes than to hold radalib, since updates are frequent and require removing it before the new version is installed --------------------- How to update radalib --------------------- 1) Check the version of the latest radalib available visiting: https://webs-deim.urv.cat/~sergio.gomez/radalib If the file radalib-yyyymmdd-hhmmss.txt represents a date posterior to your current radalib /home/myusername/ada/radalib/radalib-yyyymmdd-hhmmss.txt update to the new version 2) Go to the installation folder: $ cd /home/myusername/ada 3) Remove the old installation: $ rm -r radalib* Be sure this directory only contains radalib before removing it 4) Download latest radalib to the installation folder (with wget or a browser): $ wget https://webs-deim.urv.cat/~sergio.gomez/radalib/radalib.zip 5) Download installation script to the installation folder (with wget or a browser): $ wget https://webs-deim.urv.cat/~sergio.gomez/radalib/radalib-install-linux.sh 6) Run the installation script: $ chmod 755 radalib-install-linux.sh $ ./radalib-install-linux.sh 7) Check if some tests work, e.g.: $ cd radalib/test $ ./graph_modularity_test.sh $ ./graphs_properties_test.sh $ ./eps_plots_test.sh 8) Do not use the radalib directory for other purposes than to hold radalib, since updates are frequent and require removing it before the new version is installed ------------------------------------------------ How to convert Windows to Linux radalib programs ------------------------------------------------ 1) Make a copy of the conversion script radalib-win2linux.sh: $ cd /home/myusername/ada $ cp radalib-win2linux.sh my-win2linux.sh 2) Edit your conversion script: /home/myusername/ada/my-win2linux.sh Remove or comment the lines at the end of this script: convert_dir_recursive $RADALIB_ROOT/source convert_dir_recursive $RADALIB_ROOT/test convert_dir_recursive $RADALIB_ROOT/tools For each folder to be converted, add a line: convert_dir afolder For each folder and subfolders to be converted, add a line: convert_dir_recursive afolderwithsubfolders 3) Run the conversion script (changes filenames to lowercase, and *.bat to .sh): $ ./my-win2linux.sh 4) Further editing of the *.sh script files may be nedded if their corresponding *.bat files do not follow the standards in /home/myusername/ada/radalib/test/*.sh and /home/myusername/ada/radalib/tools/*.sh
