Full Professor of Computer Science and ICREA-Acadèmia Researcher at the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics of Universitat Rovira i Virgili. UNESCO Chair in Data Privacy. Director, CYBERCAT-Center for Cybersecurity Research of Catalonia. Fellow, IEEE, IEC, AAIA; Distinguished Scientist, ACM; Elected Member, ISI, Acad. Europaea. B.Sc-M.Sc. (1988) and Ph.D. in Computer Science, Autonomous University of Barcelona. B.Sc.-M.Sc. in Mathematics (1995). Research interests: security, privacy, and ethics by design in information technology including artificial intelligence.
