Bio:

I finished my undergraduate and master's degree in mathematics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) from 2000 to 2007. I got my PhD in Applied Mathematics (with mention Cum Laude and International Doctor) in 2011 at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain. From 2012 to 2015, I did a postdoctoral stay at the Institut Montpelliérain Alexander Grothendieck of the Université de Montpellier, France. After that, I made a two year postdoctoral stay at the Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT), Mexico. Since 2020, I have a lecturer position (Serra Húnter Fellow) at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) at the Departament d’Enginyeria Informàtica i Matemàtiques (DEIM). My areas of research lies in the Discrete Mathematics. Throughout my scientific career, I have been mainly interested in the study of combinatorial problems related to different branches such as graph theory, matroid theory, discrete geometry and algorithmic and computational problems.
