Summary
As a lot of communication is conducted over the internet of other
network environment, key agreement protocols are very interesting
research field. Authenticated key agreement protocols enable two or more
entities to establish a common secret key which is later used to assure
a cryptographic goal, like confidentiality through encryption. The
focus of the lecture will be on authenticated key agreement protocols
using public key cryptography.
In the lecture the following topics will be covered: authenticated key
agreement protocols as a research topic, properties and features of
secure protocols and classification of protocols with examples.
Moreover, the field of authenticated identity-based key agreement
protocols for two and three-party settings will be presented in detail.
