Summary
Interpolation-based unique decoding for differential codes is presented. A special case is a decoding algorithm for Goppa codes. This algorithm is examined as a possibly faster alternative to Patterson's algorithm which is the usual choice for the decryption algorithm of McEliece cryptosystem.
