Summary
RBAC is a well-known access control model based on roles. It is simple and brings several benefits. Main problem in RBAC implementation is the definition of roles. In these last years, many role mining techniques have been designed, but they often extract roles that cannot be interpreted from a business point of view. Lately the possibility of putting constraints in the roles definition process has been considered, in order to elicit meaningful roles, so that a business organization can easily manage roles assignment. Anyway, it is not always clear what possible constraints can be used, that?s why we speak about mining constraints. We have analyzed papers that deal with this issue and we
woud like to make comparisons and improvemnts, always with the aim of giving better meaning to roles.
