Summary
Prof. Oggier will discuss what is the problem of coding for networked distributed storage systems, from a mostly coding theory view point. The emphasis will be on coding criteria for reliability and maintenance. Some survey of early work, as well as current research directions will be discussed.
Short Bio: Frederique Oggier is an Assoc. Prof. in the division of mathematical sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her research interests cover algebraic coding theory and aspects of security. She is an editor for the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory.
