Summary
The problem of the specificity (individuality and personality) of a organization has been considered since early 1980s. It was at that time that the concept of organization identity has emerged. The name was coined as a combination of two English words standing for a organization and recognition (individuality, personality).
My definition is: organization identity is a system that contains complementary traits of this organization that give it an individual, stable and coherent nature and determine its internal and external reputation (in the definition, I refer to reputation, since it is a concept broader than image and allows for a more complete approach to the complexity of the problem of organization identity).
A organization’s predispositions and traits that form its identity can be disclosed to a lesser or greater extent through the influence of the environment and shaped in a specific manner. In my opinion there are 8 groups of internal organization identity traits. The accuracy of the set of variables that shape internal organization identity was confirmed by a specialist method among scientific employees and managers.
